No, not the television show. The middle of a volkssport walk.
It was supposed to rain today. It's four pm and that really hasn't happened yet. When I woke, it was dark and grey so I thought I'd walk in the hood.
Then the sun came out so I decided I would not walk in the hood. I called Bonnie—with full knowledge that she'd say no—to see if she wanted to go along. She said yes!
I picked the volkssport walk in Allentown. It's being canceled after this year. This walk has two distinct halves. The half in Cedar Creek Park (w/ Cedar Crest College) which is a 5K and the half that continues to Trexler Park (that includes Muhlenberg and Chew Street) that makes it 10K+. There is a little town walking to connect the two.
I'm a little tired of the Cedar Creek side (and the goose poop), and the Trexler side is more interesting. So I compromised and decided to do the middle. We parked at the pool—will it ever reopen?—and headed across Ott street and walked past the rose garden to the barn. While there we played with the fitness equipment. I could do all four things I tried. They were easy and didn't require stretching, hanging or balance. Look at that pic. My roll of fat is bigger than my boobs. This need to go on the fridge!
Then it was up the 31st street hill to Parkway Blvd, and over to Trexler Park. We did the lower loop, and then headed back Chew to return to the parking lot. All in all it was 4 miles.
Plus there was a Million Clicks device in both parks! Also something called a LifeTrail club. I'm going to check it out.
Bathroom scale: P-4. They were just cleaned.
