at long last...a selfie

When I had a real camera, I used to post a selfie at every event. It was easy. I had been doing it way before it was popular. But alas, I just cannot do it well with my phone. Lucky for y'all, we had a tween with us today. And we all look pretty good.

Today was the LBW annual picnic and walk. We chose to do the 5K. It's pretty hot out, and we are lazy. Or at least I am. We basically followed the bike path until it ended. The tween walked down to the creek to gather some stones, and hiked back up.

The 5K was an out and back. The 10K went up a large hill and into the woods. On the way back we took a slight detour down to the lake. I just don't like to go to a park that has a lake without stopping. Again, the tween got her feet wet. Much to moms chagrin.

There were boat and SUP board rentals close by and the lake was a hub of activity.

But for us it was back to the pavilion for some conversation and food. It's mostly a potluck, but they do bring burgers and brats. The brats were good. Especially since they brought sauerkraut.  I did over eat, but it was watermelon. I love watermelon.
