stockerton trail

Today I met Debbie at the Rt. 33 Park and Ride and we went to walk the Stockertown Trail that I found out about on Thursday.

First of all it's not the Stockerton Trail. It's right over the border and is actually the Plainfield Community Recreation Trail. It's right off 191, so it's easy to find.

The path is paved and it runs parallel to the Bushkill Creek.  It is nearly seven miles and goes into Pen Argyl.  We didn't go that far. We went about 40 minutes out and back. It's relatively shady for the entire route. At least at 10 am. And there were only a few roads to cross.

It was a quick, fun walk.

Miles/Steps:        3 ish
Weather:             80, sunny, windy
Wildlife:              lots of birds
Bathrooms:         Port-o-potty available, not used
Extra:                  Coming back we saw a dead animal. It was mostly gone. All that was left was a creepy set of teeth. Angel's husband and daughter would have loved it.
