Wednesday Pat and I went to the New Balance store in the Promenade Shoppes. We walked around about half of the "lifestyle center" before heading for the sneakers. They didn't open till 10:00. It was very apparent that many stores have gone out of business. Since sneaker shopping is the only time I come here, I don't know if it's because of C19 or not. Sure, I can buy them online, but I really don't save any money doing it so I'd rather go to a store.
I wore them with thick socks Wednesday to work at the shelter. Four hours late my feet were screaming in pain. I wore them again Friday, and Saturday for my elder-care job. Each day they got better, though I did switched to thin socks.
Today I took them for a spin. Only about a mile, but if I keep wearing them they'll be ready for Friday's nine miles.
