I've been working a lot since Wednesday. I had an annual report with a quick turn around, student deadlines, and content to create for my classes since they've moved online. I think this year I'm earning 50 cents an hour.
Today I realized I needed to make some videos with me in them, actually demoing hand skills. My software does great screen videos, and it might do web cam captures. But off-line, it's not going to work. I sent Angel this email:
"I have to figure out a way to make a video for class. I can't do a screen capture like normal and don't have a tripod. Basically I have to show them how to mark up a magazine. It's usually something I demo in class and then they do it. I guess I'll stack shit up and balance my camera on it pointing down ... "
Her shocking reply: "I'll be over by 1:30."
She came over, we made a few videos, uploaded them and headed out for a short walk.We went up to Sioux, and down Clewell. We crossed Broadway and headed up Clewell to Seneca, and out Seneca. At the factories (now housing) people were lingering out front so we walked in the street. I didn't grab a mask. Angel had her scarf. Then we went past the house I grew up in. It's held up really well as the rest of the hood has declined. At Mohican, we went down to Broadway and crossed and went up Aunt Dorothy's alley. (Jischke) and almost immediately turned and went out Canning Street. Another alley. I joked to Angel that I take her thru the best neighborhoods.
Then it was up Alaska, and out Itaska where Violet, the cat lady, was sitting on her stoop. Since I had a cat-lady with me we talked cats awhile and then we headed back to my house.

I always enjoy your neighborhood. And it tickles me that Alaska and Itaska rhyme
