one day, two walks

This morning Bonnie, Megan, the wee one and I did the Allentown Volkssport walk. We modified it to take out the hill up to Cedar Crest. Nobody want to bush a stroller up that hill. The baby is so good on the walks. He's old enough now that he notices things and can entertain himself.

Basically, we started at the pool, headed up to the playground, and out and around Lake Muhlenberg. Then back to the pool, across Ott street, and did the other side.  This time we went left and looped around and came back past the rose garden.

Then mean mommy and mean GiGi took him for his bloodwork. Happy baby gone!

Then late this afternoon my friends arrived from Virginia. We took the dog for a walk and spent lots of time catching up. Vivian, the dog, is a real charmer. She charmed two biscuits from my neighbors.

We walked out Sioux, Summit, thru Lehigh and down through Campus Square. The restaurant we were headed to was closed,  so instead we grabbed steak sandwiches to go from Molly's and sat at Campus Square and ate.No students around. Graduation was last week!

The route home had a lot more hills than I remembered. We walked up to Webster, out Packer and up and around the back of Zoellner and Grace Hall to 8th street. We came thru campus on 8th, and then up Wyandotte, and back to Sioux and home. We burned off an 1/4 of a steak sandwich.

Pretty good day. Plus I got all my work done before the second walk, and all the groceries bought so the roomie and her twin don't starve next weekend while I'm gone. Yes, the house is stocked with processed and junk food.
