It's been a little while since we walked on the IRT. Today we met in Saylor Park in Coplay, right by the limestone kilns. It was just Lydia and I.I knew Lyd would be taking a lot of pixs, so I wore my Birkenstocks. No need to wear sneakers to catch up with the Stephens' or Angel.
This little gal crawled out of a water pipe and came to meet us. I don't think she was wild. She was too friendly, too soft and too clean. I think he was on an adventure. No collar, so we couldn't take her home. She was hungry. So hopefully her family finds her, or she finds her way home.
We had planned on going a mile and a half out, then turning around and coming back. But we were so close to the new bridge construction I had to see it. There is actually a complete bridge there now. It has no sides, or deck, but it is whole. The tunnel is for the trail. Soon there will be no detour! Hurray. But will there be stairs?

And of course I needed to climb the Hokendauqua stairs—aka Sharon's stairs. There are 55, if you need to know.
On the way out, Lydia had mentioned that often when she walks they say hello and nobody says hello back. So we decided to test it out.
43 people had verbal responses
2 people smiled
3 animals (kitty and 2 dogs) responded
5 said nothing. And three of them were in the last two or three minutes.
Overall, I think it was quite successful. Not as much fun as the NYC Duane Reade game, but nothing can be more fun than that.
