When I go over, after we get all her tasks done (I'm an unpaid aide.) we go for a walk. Today was the longest. We walked to the elevator, went to the ground floor and then went out to the patio. That's were we found these flower pots.
I measured all the chairs with my leg and decided the one that was the highest. I parked her in it and went for my walk.
I went down Old York Road to the Historic Quarter and came back Conestoga Street. Then I crossed the pedestrian bridge and returned to the senior center. She was on the phone with my sister Barb and was shivering. It was nearly 80 degrees out. She's always cold since surgery.
Of course she was stuck in the chair and I helped pull her out. We went back to her apartment.
I returned about 2:45. This time with Pat. The ice cream truck was scheduled for 3. Clearly not on my Zoom plan.
I dropped Pat off near the stairs and then headed for the rear parking lot. She was waiting for me. I supervised her on the stairs and she sat down. Then I went up for Sharon. She was in bed. The only place she can get up by herself. We walked down the same route as this morning and found the same style chair to sit on. Three o'clock came and went and no truck. It was about 3:05 when she passed the building to turn into the loop.
I went for the ice cream. I did not take a rollator or walker. After eating the ice cream it was time to get up again. I went to go behind Sharon and grab her pants and this old vet-looking guy said "ya need help"? I never turn down help. So him and a buddy pulled Sharon's ass out of the chair. Then it was back up to her apartment again.
Somehow that all equaled 3.5 miles.
Miles/Steps: 3.5 miles.
Weather: high 70s, sunny
Wildlife: Lots of geese poop, but few geese. When I was crossing the pedestrian bridge I saw why. They were hiding in the deep shade. Few in the water. Grasshopper.
SLF: Killed my first nymph today.
