Pam has been helping her child move for the last week and didn't want to travel so we chose Jordan Creek Parkway to walk today. It's close to home and I remembered it was shady, easy, and level. I was wrong.

I'm still helping out my sister who had her knee replaced, so I was out of the house by 6:45 am. By 8 am she was showered, caffeinated, dressed and her hair was washed and I was on my way to the park. Pam pulled in shortly after I did.

It is a gravel and macadam path and it follows the Jordan Creek for a long while. This area is for disk golf so it has potential to be be crowded. At the early hour it was fairly shady. There was a lot of activity. Everyone was trying to beat the heat.

We followed the path and crossed Mickley Road, then a bridge over the creek. We followed the path and found a pedestrian bridge to cross the creek again. We turned around there. The next time we go we'll start here and follow it to 7th street in the city. I was telling Pam about the gym in that section of the park. She's intrigued. She's seen it in Tel Aviv and Amsterdam. I told her about the one in Cincinnati. In Amsterdam they also have slow, low, trampolines along the sidewalks.

We retraced our steps. We quickly discovered that the first leg was downhill. Coming back, it was uphill.  By the time we returned to the parking lot the sweat was dripping off of me. My shirt and hair were soaked. As was my hat. I peeled of my socks. They were dripping. I guess I need to dry my shoes.

I should take a shower before I visit my brother at the hospital, but I won't. It's stinky or not at all.

Miles/Steps:  3.5
Weather:
       88, sunny, really humid
