housenick park

Last week I found out that every Thursday Lydia has off. I told her she had a walking buddy. Welcome to the neighborhood. You can't hide.

She ended up working this morning so I picked her up and drug her to the farmers market. Then we went to her house and got the dog, then headed to my house. After lunch we went to Housenick Park. The banners my students slaved over were sitting in the grass, being very un-banner like.

Lydia hadn't been to the park since they've added the real parking lot and some signage. There was a dumpster next to the mansion, so maybe they are finally restoring it.

We took the path down the hill into the woods toward Monocacy Creek. the railroad runs next to the property and Lyd immediate went to the tracks. She's obsessed with RR tracks. It terrifies me every time.

Then we loope around and followed the path to the bird blind. At the end of the trial we turned around and came back. Then headed up the stairs to the mansion, across the lawn and back to the parking lot.

It wasn't far, but there was a hill, and Lydia hasn't walked in a while.

Miles/Steps: about 2. Being genrerous
Bathrooms:   I peeked in. It looked like an L-4.5
Wildlife:        Doe, chipmunk, cardnial, blue jay, a chorus of birds but none at the bird blind
Weather:       Sunny. Not humid. I'd say mid-80s
$ Found:        1¢ in the woods.
Extras:          The doe was crapping as we went to take the picture. It looked like deer yoga.
