I've mentioned a couple times that a Barre studio was opening in the old Globe Times building on the south side. Once they opened, I checked out their website and Facebook page and it was a tad expensive. But I followed them on FB and it's paid off. Today they advertised a free community barre class. I convinced Angel and the weeks-from-being-a-teen, tween to come along.
The event was at 2. We met at my house at 1:15, then headed down to the studio, on foot, of course. I wanted to arrive about 15 minutes early to cool down, and sign any paperwork. There's always paper work.
They weren't open. And it was only 1:30. We waited. We peered into the windows. We waited some more.
At 2:05 we headed home.
I did post a reply on their FB page. They said nobody was registered so it was cancelled. But the ad says nothing about registering. Poor advertising.
But I still want to try it.
Update:
We're already two days into the month and I've finally chosen my food/activity journal for my summer healthy makeover. I got it at the dollar store weeks ago. It's perfect. Part coloring book. Part journal.
Update 2:
The Barre class has been scheduled for Thursday.
Miles/Steps: less than 2.
Bathrooms: The tween used the bathroom at Wendy's since the studio wasn't open
Wildlife: Noisy birds, squirrels, chipmunks
