idita-walk?

This link came in the Volkssport email this morning—Idita-walk 2011!

The Idita-walk is an event to promote physical fitness in the spirit of the Iditarod Dog Sled race. The race is 1049 miles long from Anchorage to Nome, Alaska. To complete the walk you track minutes, not miles. Thirty minutes a day for 35 days between February 1 and March 31.

Very similar to what I just did for the Bethlehem to Bethlehem challenge.
I'm went for it, and they sent me this lovely walking contract. It will keep me walking thru winter. If winter ever gets here!

Looks good. I am pretty sure I can manage to do it 35 days out of 60, maybe even more. The entry fee is low and it sounds like fun. I just don't know if I have a dog's name to use.

I just posted the link to the church's facebook page too.
