So much for the promise of walking every day in May.

If you didn't hear me shouting from the rooftop Thursday, my sister is finally swallowing and eating well. She was also bitching up a storm. That means she's better. The difference between our video chat Sunday and Thursday was shocking.

Since she was now able to eat it was decided she'd go to rehab yesterday. In the rain. I chose the wheelchair van and I think because of C19 they probably have to disinfect it every time it makes a trip. It takes much longer. They didn't take her till 6:30! But I really didn't want to move her in my car. She would have demanded to go home.

I expected a call shortly after she arrive,  but I didn't get a call from the nurse until 9:35. Mostly the same Q's as before. I asked about bringing clothes and she said that because of C19 you can only bring clothes once. There's no taking them back and forth to wash them at home. So I unpacked her bag and this morning went upstairs and got a suitcase. Then I put twice as much stuff in it. I'll have a lot of laundry to do when she gets home.

When I talked to her this morning I decided to take her her clothes,  then head across the street to the Farmers Market, and then head out for a walk. It worked out pretty well. The market wasn't nearly as busy as normal which surprised me. It was a nice day to roam around west Allentown.

I'll be headed out in a couple minutes to roam the neighborhood. Even though it's winter-like it's sunny. And I just signed up for the Natural Lands Trek-A-Thon. They are trying as a group to walk 6,000 miles together, 6 feet apart. I realize it's just getting me on their mailing list. But I can live with that. You can have this little fellow photo bomb your walks kind-of-like a flat Stanley.

The Tail on the Trail has begun it's 2020 season. They've added indoor options —yoga, weights, jump rope ... — because of the pandemic. And a game of Bingo that let's you cheat miles — 5 per week for every Bingo in May. I'll play but I won't earn the points since I'll never get Bingo.
