Meet Oscar. Lydia's new puppy. He's 10-weeks-old and weighs about two pounds.

Lydia had off today so we decided to take him on his first walk. He kind of ran, spun in circles, thru your legs, and was basically all over the place. He'd be the Energizer Bunny one minute and laying down the next.

He was good on all surfaces -- macadam, stone, wood, brick, and grass (his favorite) -- though the big gravel next to the railroad tracks was not his favorite. I'm thinking it was probably bigger than his little feet.

He also didn't freak out around other dogs.  Hurray.

Lyd picked him up a couple times, and I also picked him up once. Lucky dog. He didn't try and lick me. If he did, the gig would be up.

 Not much exercise for me, but the poor thing fell asleep when he got home.
