No that is not the new names for the the seven dwarfs. But perhaps then names for the four walkers today. The high pollen count was getting us all. The last mile was a symphony of odd noises. Even the toddler joined in.It was not really hot, but it was humid.
Today we walked the Northampton section of the D&L. It is, National Trails Day. We headed about 2 miles north, and then turned around and came back. There was a lovely playground for the wee one, and swings for the big ones. But alas, the toddler fell asleep. No climbing for the wee one. No swings for me. (Insert fake crying noise.)after all,
Tonight Pam (her son and his girlfriend), Lydia and I are did the whip-poor-wills hike at the Lehigh Gap Nature Center in Slatington, right off 248. We met at the Osprey House at 7:15, then car pooled to the Translater Lane parking lot to hike up the road by dusk, then back down in the dark, listening for Whip-poor-wills.
I took my head lamp. Details in next post.
Yesterday I was on deadline for a freelance project. I have been so busy since I've been underemployed that I'm no longer stressing I'll go to the poor house. But then again, I've been around this block several times, so the tide will change.
Pat and I ran errands in the morning. One was to Walmart. I locked my keys in the car. While waiting for AAA, I paced in the parking lot, not to lose workout time. Later in the afternoon I walked down to Ahart's and took the scenic route home.
Thursday night Angel and I walked around a really big block. Her Mother-in-Law lives at almost the exact place on Lenox, that Elin did on New Street. We went down Main to Church, out Church to Center. The back Center to Washington, and retuning to M-I-L's via the alley around the church. Exactly 3 miles.
