Sharon is headed to Nome! I didn't know. She's at 795 miles. Two thirds the way done. The race starts in six days. I don't think she'll make it. Last I heard, Bonnie is still hunkered down in Fairbanks. I think she is hitching a ride on a sled.
It's still pretty warm here in Nome. About 15 today. But it is still very early in the day. Maybe the weather will match ours in Pennsylvania.
While I was here, I finished the 90-mile Tail on the Trail Challenge. Since it will be awhile till Bonnie arrives, I could fly to Anchorage and do a couple Volkssport walks. (There are no roads connecting.) But I don't fly. But I think I'll take one of
the Bering Sea cruises while I wait. I should be back in time for the
sleds to arrive. Didn't Sarah Palin say I can see Russia from there? Closest I'll ever get.
