zoom and walk failure
I have had Zoom classes and meetings for the past three to four weeks. I am so tired of sitting in front of a video screen.
I had planned to walk with my friend Pam this morning -- socially distant, of course. I even put on a bra. I've turned into a slob. When I booted up my phone there was a message from her canceling. Poop. I had planned the rest of the day grading.
New plan. I'd grade one class, then go for a walk. I finished the class and I put my shoes on. Then the phone beeped with a reminder of yet another Zoom meeting today. Argh. But at least I get paid for the meetings. Then I had a brilliant idea. I'd walk and Zoom. I took a walk around the block and saw these masks on a neighbors porch. I didn't pick up one, but maybe tomorrow if there is still some left.
When I returned home, I downloaded Zoom to my phone and updated ALL my apps. My poor old phone.
Five o'clock comes and I log in and head out the door. I get a block away and I start breaking up. I head down the hill and got just a little further before I broke up. I tried going east and west, nada. It was a disaster. Apparently, you can't Zoom and walk. I hurried home and logged into the meeting. I didn't want to lose my pay!
I'm going to try it again. This time I'm going to turn off the wifi. I think it was trying to connect. I could be wrong. Technology isn't one of my strengths.
