independence day walks

This morning when I woke up it was cooler and drizzling so I headed straight out for my walk.  I stayed fairly close to home because I wasn't sure if the skies would open up. The clouds were heavy and dark. It was a possibility.

I went up Bishopthorpe, out Seneca, down 4th, down Wyandotte to the 5-points and all the way up again. Then out Sioux to home.

After lunch, Lydia came with the dog, so my second walk I went to see the dead people with the dog. He pooped on them, like normal. They don't seem to mind. Hopefully the living dead don't know my address.

When I arrived back, Lydia and I went down to ArtsQuest to walk on the trestle. Man it was hot. Mid-afternoon is not the time to go there. When you looked over the railings the metal almost burned your skin. I drank my National Park Service bottle of water and we only went maybe a mile.

In "Town Square" there was a barbershop quartet playing—#TheAccidentals, and the food vendors were set up for the fireworks tonight. Many were open. People were arriving with blankets. I could find nothing on the band online. They must be new or hate publicity.

Not too strenuous of a walking day. But good enough. I didn't sit at my desk all day like I did yesterday. That hike on the AT told me just how out of shape I am.
