east allentown

Yesterday Bonnie called. In the course of the conversation I said, it's not horrifically cold out today. Wanna walk this afternoon? She said yes, but I'd need to tie her shoes.

When I arrived she had managed to tie them and get her sweatshirt on. And we were off.

We decided on the easiest route, just incase she wasn't up to it, we'd double back and go home. But I don't think it was necessary. She was fine. We could have done the hills. Though, after a lazy week, I'm kind-of glad we didn't.

On the way back we went into Laubach Park. Ice had begun to form on the pond. Of course, by the end of the weekend it will be gone. But at least it looked a little like January. The cold is supposed to return Monday. Just in time for my friend Angel to return from Africa. She's going to be in for quite a weather jolt. It's summer there.

Shortly I'll be leaving for the Get Out Lehigh Valley Stone Soup walk. It rained a lot last night. It's going to be muddy. Hopefully the soup is good. Then it's off to take my niece to a Girl Scout cookie booth sale. If you need a cookie fix, I can hook you up with a teen and a tween, not to mention the Browines up the street.
