Adonis stayed her last night. So first order of business was to get him out for his walk. No trouble with the morning rush hour. Everyone was still sleeping.
After making breakfast and returning the dog, I hunkered down to work. I had everything finished by 1, so I was ready to walk. I said to Pat if she had any errand that needed to be done. Walking alone with a destination is always better. Keeps me motivated.
She wanted generic Tylenol from Rite Aid on Third Street. It was a BOGO. Terrific. A destination. I had a coupon expiring for Redbox, so if I was lucky, I could watch a movie tonight. (It's the little things ...) As I'm putting on my shoes, she say, check for clearance Halloween candy while you're at Rite Aid. Aha. The Tylenol was a ruse. It's chocolate she really wanted.
So I set off and went down Sioux Street like I'd be going to ZAC. Then I wove my way down to third and the Rite Aid. They had little candy left. I got Pat the Reese/KitKat pack (borrowed the pix from Amazon)
After shopping, I worked my way back up to the Greenway, and out to the Comfort Suites. There were really cute, decorated pumpkins on the Greenway. But alas, I had nothing with me that took photographs.
Then I stopped at CVS to see what candy they had. They had even less.
Next stop was the Redbox. The Redbox near my house has crappy selections. Clearly they stock by what people rent. That would be horror, slasher, and super hero movies. Or cartoons. Clearly not the thinking persons Redbox.I was scrolling thru dozens of bad DVD covers and was just about to give up when I saw Gustave Klimt's Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer. I hit the back button. It was the Woman in Gold. (Poster is not the American version. But it actually show Klimt's painting. I forgot to grab the URL where I got it.)
I rented a movie for 53 cents.
I'll return it tomorrow when Bonnie and I walk down to the tailors. She's having another coat shortened, and pants altered. In two weeks we we walk back and pick it up.
