Bonnie mentioned yesterday that the South Albert Street bridge was reopened. We had to walk in her 'hood so we could walk across it ... legally. We walked across it a few times while it was closed. Shh. Told tell anyone.
We left Bonnie's and headed down the hill to South Albert. But first we stopped at her Mother-In-Laws to change the dressing on her wound. I stayed in the living room. I don't do icky.
We left Alice's and headed to South Albert a block away, turned left and went to the bridge.
Here it is. All bright and shinny an new. This is pretty much the whole span. It even has a storm sewer. The port-o-potty remains, so maybe they are not quite 100% done.
Then Bonnie noticed the new span had a sidewalk on the right. It too is bright and shinny and new. But it stops abruptly. Why build a sidewalk that goes nowhere? My guess it's a state law or something.
Then we zig-zagged out way back to Bonnie's place. Itw as so humid we were soaked when we got back.
Three glasses of water later I was rehydrated. And the air conditioning in Bonnie's house helped cool me off a lot.
