fitness friday

July is 10 days old and I finally sent the mailing out today. Here it is if it went in your spam folder.:
With exception of the daily storms, weather hasn't been too bad lately.

Here is the schedule for July, more or less.  Since some of you are interested in Volkssport walking, I've included a Volkssport walk.

Since this email goes to people from Jim Thorpe to Easton I try to cover the whole area.

Would people be interested in going father? Like to the gravity trail in Reading?  I've never walked any of these trails, but I keep going back to the website, so I must be interested.

Anybody interested in a Lehigh Stair climb?

Sat. July 11 -- Two Bridges. 8:30 am
Meet at the rear of the Banana Factory Parking lot on Columbia Street (Or is that 2nd Street?) We will walk over the Fahy Bridge, around Nisky Hill and out Market to the Minsi Trail Bridge. Then back Third to the BF. Bathrooms at the Wawa and the BF.

Sun. July 12 -- Allentown city walk. 9 am
Meet at the Allentown Art Museum. (Free for the summer!) I'll plan a route that hits all the arts and redevelopment. Again, I'll try to make it about 3 miles.

Sat. July 18 -- 2 States! 9 am
We will meet in Easton on Centre Square, in front of the Crayola Factory. The route will include crossing the toll bridge into NJ and crossing the Free Bridge back to Pa. Between 3-4 miles. Bullman Street Stairs optional. I think there is a festival in Pburg that weekend.

Sat. July 25 -- Allentown Volkssport walk. Meet at Cedar Beach pool at 9. Choose either a 5 or a 10K. (I will bring start cards, stamp, and the sign in sheet with me. One of the bennies of being the POC!)

Sun. July 26 -- D&L Walnuptort to Slatington. Restrooms at both ends.

Sat. Aug. 1 -- Tail on the Trail Event at Upper Saucon Township Community Park, Center Valley. These always start at 10. This time the theme is bikes.

As always, let me know if you are coming so we know who to wait for.

Light rain, we still go. Hard rain/storms, we stay home.

Gayle
