Today Pat and I drove out to Klecknersville to look for the covered Bridge, and drive the 5K.
There is indeed a hill. It goes for a good half, three quarters of a mile. It's goes up, then levels out, then goes up and levels out, until you get to the top. Not the worse hill I ever seen and from the car it doesn't look steep. I'll let you know tomorrow.
The road is narrow and shaded for the most part. Which is great. It's kind-of gravely. That's not so great. There's a section in the blazing sun. But the finish is in the shade.
I'm going to walk with Lyd till the hill is over and then take off by myself. It won't be my best time. But that's okay. As the lady said the other day, it's non-competitive.
Sadly, the 10K people will be back before the walkers.
Then this afternoon Betsy and I did the south Whitehall walk. Three miles, under an hour. Next week we might have the dogs!
