palmer bike trail

Today we walked part of the Palmer bike trail. I told Sharon if she came along, she had to go all the way to the Rt 33 bridge. She choose to come.

We parked at the post office and I wondered if I should. Even though the trail runs right by the property would they think it was an abandoned car? Would I return to the bomb squad and a SWAT team. I decided to take my chances and off we went.

Sharon drank coffee before we left, and a whole bottle of water (which I thought was excessive it wasn't that hot) before we got to the bridge. Needless to say, she was looking for a bathroom. We stopped at a park, and filled her water bottle at the fountain, but no comfort station. So we went to Redner's. There, outside, were little Boy Scouts, selling popcorn. I'm guessing last year they were Cubs.

I cannot resist a child in a uniform. I bought their delicious caramel corn. (Now in a foil pouch instead of a pouch in a plastic bucket!) I know when I open it I'll eat the whole thing, so I'm going to resist as long as possible. Or at least until after my doctors appointment tomorrow.

When we returned to the car, no SWAT team. No bomb squad. I was a little disappointed. I guess I watch to many thrillers.
