i posted in the wrong blog!

I came today to post my meager little update and thought hells bells, where did my last post go? Apparently to my art blog. Some days I'm a dolt.

Today is April Fools Day. AKA, mama's birthday.  I took her iris's to her this morning at the cemetery.

Today was my quarterly walk to collect the Volkssport numbers. Exciting? Not really. The numbers are low for the winter months and the report is quick to do. Now yesterday I planned to collect the Easton numbers and do the Easton walk, plus the stairs on the hill. But it rained. No, let's rephrase that, it down poured most of the day. And we won't talk about the wind. FIshingseason must have started today. The canal was lined with fisher-families.

This week has been average neighborhood walks. Monday and Wednesday when I'm in Easton I've been going early and walking around the waterfront and downtown. It's probably only about a mile and a half.

Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays I walk in my hood. Weekends is where I get to do something different. Usually.

When trolling Facebook today I noticed that the Pennsylvania Volkssport Assn. has an Appalachian Trail walk in Pennsylvania. You only need to do 10 to get the patch. Registration is online. I think I'm doing it. Since it's natural and really rocky Bonnie won't be able to come. Maybe Angel and the tween will do it with me. Or maybe we'll try just one and see how it goes.

Bonnie and I are planning on doing the Susquehanna Riverwalks at the end of the month. I think.

I have signed up at walking4fun.com to do a virtual walk of the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada. It's about 2600 miles. Maybe, just maybe, if I get my rear back in gear I'll make it by October. We'll see.

If I was there, this is what the mile marker would look like. It's cool. And if I'm ever in California I'd like to see it for real. And put my feet on a small portion of the trail. Better do it before the one who shall not be named builds his wall. I'm guessing they won't put a door in it.

This is the first 50 miles or so of the trail.

Miles/Steps:  not quite three, easy.
Bathrooms:   didn't use any
Wildlife:        None, not even a pigeon.
Weather:      upper 40s, overcast, damp. Rain on its way.

Extras:         Opening day of trout season. Canals shouldn't have trout. Heck, that one is dry at numerous places. But it does have turtles.
