bethlehem - north walk, test-run

It was bitter cold yesterday but 8 hearty souls tried out my new instructions for the Bethlehem-North AVA walk. I think it went well. There are a few minor tweaks I need to make. We all looked like the Michelin Man.

The walk begins at the beautifully decorated Hotel Bethlehem (above in gingerbread), goes to Moravian-south campus, the colonial industrial quarter.

Afte passing Johnston park and the senior high rises, we headed to the Moravian College Main Campus. Then it's past the seminary, the archives, and back down Center street to the historic district. When you reach Main, the first 5K is over.

Pat the trail master, Jenn and I did the second 5K. that goes west to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Sand Island, the sculpture garden, city center, and back Church street.

I went home, but the others went for lunch at the Hotel Bethlehem. Pretty swanky for the diner crowd.
