Sunday I planned to do the Tail on the Trail kick-off walk at Sand Island. But it was cancelled that morning due to rain. For two weeks I did the AARP Alaska stretching/yoga class on Wednesday. I have not done Milly in 2 weeks, nor have I done my chair yoga class.
Today was the Volkssport walk in Bethlehem. I arrived at the Hotel Bethlehem at 9:30 and there was someone already waiting. It didn’t start until 10.
By 10 there were five of us and we were off. I decided that we’d start with the 2nd 5K because it’s flatter. What drugs was I on. It certainly was not flatter. We headed up Main, down 1st by the Tomb of the Unknown’s, out Prospect and down 2nd. The we wend under the bridge and headed to Sand Island.
We made that loop and headed up Lehigh, around the city center and back to the hotel. We also wandered thru the God’s Acre. One of the walkers had never been there.
Then we went to the BrewWorks for lunch.
Miles/Steps: This was a 5K. But my FitBit registered 4.83 miles. I know for a fact that walking to the brewworks and back from Market street isn’t a mile and a half! The only other walking I did was from the house to the garage. I put it on as I was leaving. Something is very odd.
