glad i'm not doing the 3-day this weekend.

I'm glad I'm not doing the 3-day this weekend. I'd be a drown little walker. Thank goodness they camp inside the convention center now. At least for a little while they are dry.

There's a hurricane off the coast and apparently Wildwood got hit pretty hard. Here it is cold and damp. But I went for a walk anyway.

This cold-damp-rainy weekend was Lehigh's 4-day Block Party to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the school. We've worked for weeks marketing it and the weather is miserable.

The planned walk was to walk about Fountain Hill and work our way over to Lehigh, stop at the party, and then come home. The walk was to leave my place at 9, but since I was the only one, it was closer to 10.

The other day I noticed they hung up these new banners. They are really nice. The right side is probably some sort of plastic, the left the banner. The stained glass is in the library. I love the little points on the end. it really finishes it off. And they blend in well on this side of the campus.

The other day I noticed this being built on the front lawn near Brodhead. I have no idea what it is, but I suspect it's "art". I'm sure building and grounds will love mowing through it.

Finally I reached Zoellner and the Block Party. The large wooden thing they built to do graffiti on across the street was still covered. And the tent out front was empty.
The courtyard was a ghost town. (That Adam Lambert song is now stuck in my head ... My heart is a ghost town ... ) Everything until 4 pm was moved inside. The big concerts tonight are still outside in the big tent.

I went inside and sadly not many people came. Now in all fairness it was 11 am, so the students were probably still sleeping.

I walked around a bit, and then headed to Ahart's for groceries, and then home.

It was cold, but it didn't rain. And I got lots of hills in. So it was a win-win.
