Today was the Morning Star Rotary 5K. I've done this for three years. In that time it started at the Steel, went to the north side and back. This year, it started at the Celtic Classic, zipped thru downtown and Sand Island.Best part about this 5K is men in skirts. Running. Walking. Blowing Bagpipes. And throwing telephone poles. Really it doesn't get much better than this. (Well actually they don't throw poles till about 5. They were throwing rocks or hay or something.)
It was Bonnies first 5K since she was sick. She struggled. For a while I was ahead. But she caught up. I came in at 50:32, Bonnie at 50:40 and Lydia had a personal best with 55:30. With Hills. She hates hills.
Afterwards we walked around the Celtic Classic, but not much was open.
Then we came home and walked the dog.
